914Cares: A Community Effort to Help Neighbors in Need
An overview of how 914Cares makes a positive difference in the lives of neighbors

Caring, compassion, and empathy toward neighbors. That’s how Jessica Reinmann is making the world a better place. When someone needs help, 914Cares, Reinmann’s nonprofit, finds a solution. “I saw neighbors in my community living without the basic necessities of life and I wanted to change that. 914Cares is about caring for our neighbors who need it to the best of our ability. We’re one community, and we need to take care of each other,” said Reinmann, CEO and Chairman. “We’ve gone from me passing out coats from the trunk of my car to a 12,000-square foot, fully operational warehouse and an established reputation in the community.”

Westchester Non-Profit 914Cares Hosts its Inaugural Fundraising Event
Inaugural annual fundraising event held at Westchester Country Club Beach Club in Rye. In attendance were CEO Jessica Reinmann, Gala Chairs Jess & Mark Anfang and Jillian & Michael Pohly, Assemblyman Christopher Burdick, and 230+ of the organization’s donors, volunteers, and community partners.

The Gala celebrated 914Cares’ success in caring for neighbors in need, particularly throughout the course of the pandemic. “Since March of 2020, we have created three new programs to combat the rise of poverty in our community,” Reinmann shared in her presentation. In addition to its existing roster of programs that distribute clothing, books, and personal care products, 914Cares established a Diaper Bank (distributing close to 1 million diapers), Period Project (distributing 100,000+ tampons and pads), and most recently, a Hygiene Bank (distributing 3,300 hygiene products since its inception in May). “None of these successes would have been accomplished without the collaboration of our community partners,” Reinmann added, acknowledging the 80+ organizations served by 914Cares.
